House Hunting: Cleveland Edition

By: Dakota Taufeeq

I love looking at houses! To be quite frank I think that I have developed an addiction to Zillow. Whenever I am on Zillow I like to set the craziest parameters to see what I can find. I used to get discouraged that I lived in the midwest, I always thought that there was nothing interesting for sale in Ohio. However I was very wrong! I am going to post some of my more unique and downright cool finds of 2021.

Starting off strong with a 6 Million dollar house in Cleveland! Anyone who lives in Cleveland, Ohio can easily tell you that no one is going to buy a house that expensive, but who knows maybe our seller will catch a lucky break! I love the spanish revival architecture in this house, red shingles have always looked nice to me. Personally I think that the inside is a little gaudy and the decor could be better but, you can’t argue with the indoor pool and those lake views are phenomenal! Address: 11518 Harbor Dr, Cleveland, Ohio.

Moving farther east we have a 1.3 Million dollar house in Moreland Hills. Modern art and architecture is not for me but the outside of this house caught my eye! The glossy interior of this house surely has my attention. I'm not fond of modern interior design either but I can't deny the kitchen is great! I would say my favorite part of this house besides the exterior would be the simplistic living room. I forgot to mention, there is a nice outdoor pool! Address: 30 Easton Ln, Moreland Hills, OH.

The last house I am viewing is another 1.3 Million dollar house on the east side. In pepper pike this house sits on an acre and comes in at an astonishing 12,034 square feet. This house has all the color from a yellow kitchen to a brown and blue sitting room. Unfortunately, I think that this house will have difficulty selling because of all of its intense colors. In Ohio people tend to lean more towards the simplistic. Nonetheless, it has great aspects and is worth looking at. Once Again the exterior of this house caught my eye. I would say that for this house the 70s inspired sitting room and the exterior are my favorite parts. This house has an outdoor pool as well. Address: 2540 Cedarwood rd, Pepper Pike, OH.

Thank you for reading, next I will be doing older houses built in the early 20th century. Those houses are my favorite because I love the history and the architecture. Until next time!
