Six word stories on the Capitol Hill violence
By: Dakota Taufeeq
I have decided to write some six word stories about the terrorist attack on January 6th. Some of these short stories will be about my reflection on the events, facts about the events, etc. I hope you enjoy!
Who is going to protect us now?
To beat one of your own.
When will it ever be over?
Hope? That is a foriegn concept.
Red. White. Blue. Blood flows freely.
America is at its truest self.
Is this what patriotism looks like?
To think that they brought gallows.
As the sun sets, America mourns.
Is it because they are white?
Maybe it is all a dream.
I wouldn’t wish this on anyone.
How far the mighty have fallen.
This isn’t the America I love.
